Persistence of entering freshmen in the cohort of all full-time, first-time
bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree-seeking undergraduate students who entered
in fall 2002 (or the preceding summer term) is reflected by the “retention
rate.” The initial cohort is adjusted for students who are known to have
departed for the following reasons: deceased, permanently disabled, armed
forces, foreign aid service of the federal government or official church
missions. (At Savannah State, data for these exceptions is not collected;
thus "permitted" adjustments to the initial cohort can not be made.)
B13. Retention Rate, Fall,
1997 Cohort: For the cohort of all full-time bachelor’s (or equivalent)
degree-seeking undergraduate students who entered the institution as
freshmen in fall 2002 (or the preceding summer term), the percentage who
were also enrolled as of the date Savannah State University calculated it
official enrollment in fall 2003 was UNKNOWN%.
