Basic Performance Indicators:
(Cost Effective)
Revisited the vehicle situation to determine the cost of maintenance per vehicle. Should the number of vehicles be reduced? Should new vehicles be purchased?
(Time Efficiency)
Determine the average time for an Officer to respond to a Complainant’s call and seek to improve this time if possible; compare to benchmarks.

(Staff Productivity)
Establish a personnel productivity goal based on benchmarks. Then develop a tracking system to determine how an officer spends their time during a shift to determine if the goal is being met.
(Customer Satisfaction)
Continue to conduct surveys and based on the responses strive for improvement. A survey of 100 of Savannah State University family members revealed that approximately 85% viewed the Department is doing a fine job, but issued too many tickets. Approximately 15% viewed the Department as doing a fine job, but have a slow response time.

Two new residence halls
By providing a Police Mini Station in the Residence Halls operated by the
finest quality and professionally trained Officers/Building Attendants for
protection. Install video cameras strategically throughout the Residence
Halls.
Retention rates greater that Fifty- percent.
The Department of Public Safety will exhibit the highest level of professionalism, which will emit a calming effect upon the Savannah State University family. This calming effect will eliminate all ideas of withdrawing from Savannah State University for an alleged safer University.

Install a Code Blue Electronic Interactive Voice Communication System campus wide, interior and exterior.

2. The Code Blue high visibility blue light and intercom system will
