STRATEGIC INSTITUTIONAL GOALS
Strategic institutional goals are extensions of the mission statement. They address the areas which the planning process identifies as needing the allocation of resources or modification of programs in order for the University to fulfill its mission. Strategic goals reflect the pressure of external forces on the University. The strategic goals are broad statements intended to give direction to plans of individual planning units of the college. The mission statement and the strategic goals are the backbone of long-range planning.
1. Integrate planning and budget allocation into the management process.
2. Enhance the quality, effectiveness and scope of academic programs.
3. Create a student enrollment management program.
4. Acquire and support appropriate technology for instructional programs and administrative functions of the University.
5. Improve the physical facilities of the University.
6. Establish an ongoing process of human resources development.
7. Improve communication among administrators, faculty, staff, students and other constituents.
8. Expand the public service programs of the University.
9. Increase support for the University through non-state sources.
10. Improve the image of the University.
11. Increase non-state funding.
