Welcome to our first Strategic Planning Data Resources document! We are very pleased and excited about this latest accomplishment of our Office of Institutional Research and Planning. This effort constitutes a vital part of our strategic planning effort as we prepare for SACS reaffirmation and for the new century. You will find in this volume the kinds of data and organization that lead to deep analysis and reflection on the many issues facing our university as it addresses its very significant plans for repositioning.

We are now equipped to view this data lay out as base data. As those involved in university planning seek different analyses and raise new questions, we are uniquely configured to enable responsiveness to these needs. In this pattern, we are well on our way to becoming an information driven organization. Mr. Michael Crow and I would appreciate any and all assessments and responses to this work.
