"Graduation rates" for collegiate
athletes are calculated and maintained using conventions established by the NCAA
and the DOE. The Federal Department of Education (IPEDS) and National
Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) require rates to be calculated for
first-time entering full-time freshmen who receive financial aid and who
graduate within 6 years. This convention is the basis for the following
table. (Notice: these rates do not reflect all student
athletes at SSU but only full-time, first-time freshmen receiving financial
aid.)
